About the boat

What is the maximum capacity of the boat?

Chillout is surveyed for 12 passengers plus 2 crew, which complies with the covid safe 1 person per 4 square meter standard.

Is the boat safe and in good condition?

Yes, Chillout is a renowned Seawind 1160 catamaran, in current 2D and 4D survey with AMSA (Australian Maritime Safety Authority). She carries all the necessary safety equipment required and more.

Is there sun and weather protection?

Is there a toilet on board?

Seawind 1160s offer a fully covered saloon and cockpit.

Chillout is fitted with a clean electric marine toilet with easy access.

Does the boat suit children?

Chillout has safety rails all around the boat, plus lifejackets to suit children of all ages are available. Children must be under adult supervision at all times.

Can we play our own music?

Yes, Chillout has an amazing Fusion surround sound system both indoors and outdoors which is Bluetooth compatible.

Can we view the boat before we charter?

Yes, viewing the boat is possible to know if it is suitable to your needs. Please call in advance to arrange a viewing.

BYO Catering

Are we allowed to bring our own food and drinks,

BYO catering?

We want you to enjoy your time aboard so we recommend that your food is either pre-prepared and/or can easily heated on a marine BBQ.

(But note that marine BBQs can be adversely affected by weather)

Kitchen (galley) equipment?

Chillout has ample platters, salad bowls, plates, cutlery, glasses and general kitchen items, BBQ, small microwave, 3 burner stove, large chest fridge and ice box.

BYO drinks?

We are not licenced, so BYO only.

Chillout has 2 fridges plus large ice boxes. So, no need to bring your own eskys.

Drinks and / or ice can be pre delivered onto the boat.

Is there tea and coffee?

Yes, you can help yourself to our instant tea and coffee while onboard

Do we have to wash up?

No, our competent crew will handle washing and cleaning.

Booking payment and cancellations

How do I secure by booking?

A minimum of 50% deposit is required to confirm a booking.

The balance payable 14 days prior to the commencement of the charter.

Upon payment of your deposit, a Charter Contract will be emailed to you confirming details relevant to your charter which you must sign and return.

Payment can only be made by Electronic Funds Transfer or cash.

Is there paperwork to complete before we go on charter?

Yes, we require your signed contract and authorised bond form prior to your charter commencing.

Cancellation, what happens if I cancel ?

We will make all efforts to reschedule your charter to another date, based on availability. See our Terms of Service for full details.

Cancellation, what happens if Sydney Catamaran Charters cancels?

If boating conditions are considered unsafe, as determined by the management of Sydney Catamaran Charters, we may have to reschedule your charter.

All efforts will be made to reschedule your charter based on availability. If no suitable booking can be made, your charter can be refunded in full.

Wet weather?

Some of our most memorable charters have been in inclement weather.

Chillout's enclosed saloon and covered cockpit gives ample protection.

There is always a quiet bay to find.

What should we bring along?

A smile, swimmers, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat and sun protective clothing, towel and seasonal warm clothing or jacket.

And a camera to reflect on the good times.

Please no black soled shoes or "stiletto heels".

Do we need to arrive prior to our departure?

As docking times are limited, please have your party at the designated pick up point at least 15 minutes prior the pick up time.

Our charter will start and finish as per the times on your contract.

Can our guests be picked up late or dropped back early from another wharf?

Multiple pick ups and drop offs shorten your charter significantly, and may not be possible due to wharf restrictions. We suggest alternative arrangements can be possible via a water taxi service at their own cost.

Where can we go during our charter?

Your skipper can take you most places within the charter boundaries.

Should you have any special requests, please let us know prior as special considerations may be at the mercy of the prevailing weather conditions.

Can we extend our charter time during the charter?

Yes, sometimes you do not want a good time to end. Subject to availability, we will try to accommodate any extensions.

Payment will be processed by authorised bond.

What if one or some of our party behaves badly?

At the discretion of the skipper, crew or management of Sydney Catamaran Charters a charter will be terminated if any of the charter party behave inappropriately, abusive, intoxicated or disobey the instructions of the skipper and crew. Terminations may occur at the nearest wharf or jetty.
